A Southern Affair Infused with Peacock Flair

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Season: Summer 2011

When BeauTie Planners first met the couple, they explained that they wanted something that was indicative of their personality.  They wanted a great party, lots of drama (by way of decor, not people), and a memorable southern event.

The colors chosen were indicative of both fraternity and alma mater colors.  And, the feel of the wedding was intended to be "old south" because they are both natives of Augusta, Georgia.  The use of the peacock feather was an intended "x factor" and is a long revered symbol of love and resurrection.

With more than 400 guests, the bride and groom wanted their attendees to feel loved and adored.  As such, they served a sumptuous "soul food" meal, replete with open bar.   Lavender hydrangeas, white roses, and hand-crafted peacock candle holders carried the theme of this wedding from sanctuary to reception.
